Adam Levine took the stage to perform an epic rendition of “Purple Rain.” Joined by the rock band Train, Levine blew everyone away with his incredible guitar skills. Pulling off the guitar solo in “Purple Rain” is not easy, even for a seasoned guitar player, yet Levine eradicated it in the best way possible. He played it with such confidence and facilitate, and it’s astounding to visually examine him take consummate control over such a widely celebrated musical composition.
Prince has inspired so many people and performers and he will truly be missed. Levine told People after Prince's death, ”[I’ll recollect] just the great times that we had and just perpetually being inspired by how he did things his way [and] never let anybody deter what he wanted to accomplish ingeniously and musically. As a musician, I can’t tell you how much that’s rubbed off on me.”
